Here is silly Jumpy. This male is about fourteen weeks old. He grew very fast. At twenty weeks, he was already bigger than my females ever were. Jumpy is a standard Sable color.

Tuco is our second male. He is eight weeks younger than Jumpy. Here he is pretending to be the ferocious lion king stalking his prey with his lion pride. Tuco is named after the famous Mexican bandit from the movie, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," the New Ferret City favorite movie of all time.

Jumpy is not camera shy. Here you can see his big, silly, pink nose. Notice how much broader a male's head is than a female's. Jumpy has interesting, almost square ears.

All ferrets, no matter what age, enjoy a warm and cozy nap sack.

Jumpy was instantly named such because of his incredible athletic abilities to leap and pounce. Jumpy is by far the fastest ferret of the New Ferret City clan. When he is on a tear, his footsteps sound like a stampede.

Tuco is full grown in this image, a young adult of 6 months. While Tuco's eyes appear black, they have a hint of albino red in them when the light hits his eyes just right. His eye and his Panda colors probably come from some combination of breeding a sable with an albino.

Jumpy, like most male ferrets, has his lazy moments. However, you won't find female ferrets looking undignified like this.

One day I thought my ferrets were lost. A search of every corner did not reveal their whereabouts. In desperation, a drawer was opened and there they were, slumbering away in their secret hide-a-way. Apparently, they were not satisfied with the cat house; they just use it to climb up, under and into the drawer. These days, this is their home. They spend all their sleeping time together in the drawer. No more nap sacks, no more tubes, no more cage. I guess they will decide where they will sleep, not me. Perhaps they like the natural warmth of the drawer's wooden construction.
